Committee Chairs Opportunities:
LEAP Representative: Loudoun Education Alliance of Parents (LEAP) is non-partisan network that promotes interaction between parents, teachers, School Board members and members of the Loudoun County Public Schools Administrative Team. While all members of the community are welcome, each school send a delegate from the PTA or PTO to the meetings (held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the LCPS building in Broadlands) The delegate then reports a summary and any important information back to the general membership. Box Tops Coordinator: Collects, counts and mails in box tops for redemption for PTA. Coordinates and arranges monthly contests.
Carnival Chair: Oversees the committee that plans and runs the spring carnival in April. The chair would coordinate arrangements for games, inflatables, prizes and food.
Grounds Improvement Co-Chair (s): Plans, facilitates and organizes 3-4 grounds improvement days for the school year.
Family Arts Night Chair: Oversees the committee that plans and runs the Family Art Night in March. Last year the event included live performances, interactive exhibits, and a raffle. The chair would set the vision and work with the committee to execute the event.
School Supplies for the 2018-2019 School Year: Oversees the committee that works with the school to plan the supplies for the 2017-2018 school year, works with vendor to set up site for ordering and facilities the delivering of supplies from the vendor and delivery to the classrooms in August.
